In the mid-1800’s my great grandparents William and Alida Archibald, ran a 20-mule team ox cart hauling supplies to the gold miners in Yosemite, California. Their son, my grandfather was very proud of the fact that the lead oxen of that team was white. The sight of this 20-mule team ox cart with a white ox in the lead, was so impressive that to this day, a very well-known company uses the image of their 20-mule team ox cart on the front of all of their packaging! It is in honor of their pioneer spirit that we have named our vegan body care company, ALIDA PURE.
